Never before had we found Geology so interesting. It helps us understand who we are, where we live and what we have in common. It connects the past, present and future of a territory: the territory of the Granada Geopark.
Geology is the science that studies the formation and evolution of our planet, Earth, the materials it is composed of and its structure. The term comes from the Greek: /gê/, ‘earth’ and /logía/, ‘treatise’. This discipline seeks to understand the processes that have shaped the Earth as it is now, through various lines of investigation. The scientists who work in this field are called geologists.
