Badlands of la Rambla del Moral (C. del Campo)

In the surroundings of the Negratín reservoir, a spectacular landscape carved in sediments of reddish coloration arranged in horizontal layers that were deposited by alluvial fans is recognized in the area of the Rambla del Moral.

The main erosion mechanism suffered by the slope is the tunnel erosion or “pipings”. These tubes reach tens of meters of depth, accelerating the dismantling and the retreat of the slope.
